Mounjaro KwikPen (Weight Loss Made Simpler).

Mounjaro KwikPen (tirzepatide) is part of the new generation of weight loss treatments. It is licensed here in the UK. The main purpose of this medication is for weight loss and long-term weight management. Studies have shown it can help people lose up to 22.5% of their starting body weight. Crazy right. This makes it the best and effective option of medication available.

What is the Mounjaro KwikPen?

The kwikPen is a discreet, safe, and effective prefilled device designed for simple self-injection at the convenience of your home. It contains four doses, which means that each pen lasts for one month. You only need one injection per week, using a painless, small, thin needle under the skin.

Because it’s preloaded and disposable, KwikPen takes the stress and complication out of treatment, making the process seamless for everyone using it.

How does Mounjaro work?

Mounjaro replicates the action of two hormones found in nature, GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1) and GIP (glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide). Along the way, these hormones act on a variety of body parts that control our hunger, blood sugar, and stores of fat.

Here is how Mounjaro helps you lose weight:

  • Promotes insulin secretion after meals: Assists the pancreas in secreting insulin to help reduce blood sugar and prevent too much sugar from being stored as fat.
  • Decreases liver sugar output: In turn, it forces the body to use the stored fat for energy.
  • Controls appetite and cravings: Helps you feel fuller soon and satisfied for longer
  • Slows Digestion: Keeps food in your stomach longer, preventing sudden spikes in blood sugar

Who can use Mounjaro?

Mounjaro is a prescription-only Medication; therefore, a medical professional will need to have prescribed it for you before taking it. The professional will have to confirm if it’s safe for you to take. But in general, it is suitable for everyone as long as you fulfill these three conditions:

  1. You are an adult aged 18–85.
  2. You have a BMI over 30.
  3. You have a BMI over 27 with a weight-related condition

Use this NHS tool to calculate your BMI.

What results can you expect?

Every weight loss journey is unique, but Mounjaro has shown strong, consistent results in clinical trials.

  • In the first 4 weeks, most people end up losing about 3% of their body weight for the starter doses.
  • With 5-8 weeks in, weight loss often recorded is about 5-6%.
  • By 12 weeks, many users see around 8% loss.
  • With consistent use and proper dieting with exercise, studies mentioned earlier have shown a 22.5% weight loss over 72 weeks.

Mounjaro KwikPen (tirzepatide) is designed for long-term weight management when properly combined with lifestyle changes like a balanced diet and regular exercise.

How to Use Mounjaro (Tirzepatide) KwikPen

The Mounjaro KwikPen is designed to make weekly injections as simple and stress-free as possible. Each pen comes pre-filled with four
doses, meaning one pen lasts for a month.

Step 1

You can inject Mounjaro under the skin in either the abdomen, the Front of your thighs, or the back of your upper arms.

Step 2

Take the KwikPen out of the fridge and allow it to reach room temperature. Always check the label to ensure you have the correct medication and prescribed dose. Once checked, attach a new sterile needle securely to the pen before use.

Step 3

When using a new KwikPen for the first time, make sure to rotate the dose knob until the window shows the exact amount prescribed
by your doctor.

Step 4

Use an alcohol swab to clean the skin where you have chosen to inject. Hold a fold of skin between your thumb and forefinger and insert the
needle straight in. Hold down the injection button until the dose counter resets to zero. After 5 seconds, the needle must be left in the injection
site for 10 seconds to allow delivery of the full dose.

Step 5

Carefully remove the used needle and discard it in a sharps container. Replace the cap on the pen and return it to the refrigerator until your
next dose.

Mounjaro dose schedule

Mounjaro The recommended dosing for Mounjaro is a slow build-up, allowing the body time to adjust and, ideally, reducing the occurrence of side effects. Usually, the treatment starts with 2.5 mg once per week for the first four weeks. The dose is then escalated to 5 mg weekly weeks
five through eight, and 7.5 mg weekly weeks nine through twelve. Additional increases may be administered every 4 weeks with 10 mg, 12.5 mg, and finally 15 mg once weekly as the maximum.

Storage information

The KwikPen must be stored in a refrigerator between 2°C and 8°C, but should not be frozen. Once in use, the pen may be kept at room
temperature, up to 30°C, for a maximum of 30 days. Always store the device out of the sight and reach of children.
