Suresign 6 Day Early Midstream Pregnancy Test for Early Detection

You can detect pregnancy up to 6 days before your missed period with this midstream pregnancy test. The test works by measuring human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) hormone levels in your urine, which increase during early pregnancy. This early pregnancy test provides reliable results when used correctly according to the instructions.

The midstream design allows you to test directly in your urine stream without needing to collect a sample in a container. You simply hold the absorbent tip in your urine stream for the specified time and wait for the results to appear in the result window.

How the 6 Day Early Detection Works

The test detects hCG hormone concentrations as low as 10 mIU/ml in your urine. During early pregnancy, hCG levels double approximately every 48-72 hours, making early detection possible before your expected period. The test uses immunoassay technology with antibodies that specifically bind to hCG molecules.

Results appear within 3-5 minutes of testing. A positive result shows two lines in the result window, whilst a negative result shows only one line. The control line must always appear to confirm the test has worked correctly.

Who Should Use This Pregnancy Test

This test suits women who want to know if they are pregnant before their missed period. You may find it particularly useful if you are actively trying to conceive or need to know your pregnancy status for medical reasons. The test is suitable for women with regular or irregular menstrual cycles.

The 6 day early pregnancy test is appropriate if you:

  • Want to test before your expected period date
  • Prefer the convenience of midstream testing
  • Need reliable early detection results
  • Are monitoring your fertility alongside other women's health products

Why Early Testing Matters

Early pregnancy detection allows you to make informed decisions about your health and lifestyle as soon as possible. Knowing your pregnancy status early enables you to begin taking folic acid supplements, avoid alcohol and certain medications, and seek appropriate prenatal care.

The test's sensitivity to low hCG levels means you can get accurate results even when hormone concentrations are still building up in early pregnancy. This eliminates the need to wait until after your missed period for confirmation.

Storage and Shelf Life Information

Store the pregnancy test at room temperature between 2°C and 30°C in a dry place. Do not freeze the test or expose it to direct sunlight or excessive heat. Keep the test in its sealed foil pouch until you are ready to use it to maintain accuracy.

Check the expiry date printed on the packaging before use. Do not use the test after the expiry date as this may affect the reliability of your results. Each test is for single use only and should be disposed of after testing.

This product is a medicine. Speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using if you have an underlying medical condition or are taking other medicines.

How to Use Your Midstream Pregnancy Test

Remove the test from its foil wrapper just before use. Remove the plastic cap to expose the absorbent tip. Hold the test by the handle, pointing the absorbent tip downwards. Place the absorbent tip directly into your urine stream for 5 seconds, ensuring the tip is completely saturated.

Alternatively, you can collect your urine in a clean, dry container and dip the absorbent tip into the urine for 5 seconds. After sampling, replace the plastic cap over the absorbent tip and lay the test flat on a clean, dry surface.

Reading Your Test Results

Wait 3 minutes before reading your results. Do not read results after 10 minutes as they may not be accurate. A positive result shows two coloured lines in the result window - one in the control area and one in the test area. The test line may be lighter than the control line but still indicates a positive result.

A negative result shows only one coloured line in the control area. If no lines appear or only the test line appears without the control line, the test is invalid and you should repeat with a new test. For most accurate results, test with your first morning urine which contains the highest concentration of hCG hormone.

Understanding Pregnancy Test Limitations

Like all pregnancy tests, the Suresign 6 Day Early Midstream Pregnancy Test can have limitations, although most users will get accurate results when used correctly. The test may occasionally produce false results due to various factors affecting hCG hormone levels or test performance. If you have concerns about your results or experience symptoms alongside sexual health issues , consult your healthcare provider.

False negative results may occur if you test too early, have diluted urine, or irregular hCG production. False positive results are less common but can happen due to certain medical conditions or medications.

Factors that may affect test accuracy include:

  • Testing too early before hCG levels are detectable
  • Diluted urine from excessive fluid intake
  • Expired or improperly stored test
  • Certain fertility medications containing hCG
  • Recent pregnancy loss or termination
  • Rare medical conditions affecting hCG levels
  • Ectopic pregnancy with lower hCG production
  • Very early miscarriage
  • Ovarian cysts or tumours
  • Menopause with elevated hormone levels
  • Incorrect test procedure or timing
  • Damaged test due to improper storage

If you experience these or any other concerns about your test results, speak to your doctor or pharmacist right away. For more information about reporting side effects please see the MHRA Yellow Card Scheme.
