Clearblue Pregnancy Test Double-Check & Date Combo Pack

This combo pack contains two different types of pregnancy tests to give you confidence in your results. The pack includes one Clearblue Digital test that displays clear "Pregnant" or "Not Pregnant" words, plus one Clearblue Early Detection test that can detect pregnancy up to 6 days before your missed period. Both tests are over 99% accurate from the day of your expected period.

The digital test eliminates guesswork by showing results in words rather than lines, whilst the early detection test provides sensitive detection when you need answers sooner. This combination allows you to test early and then confirm your results, giving you the reassurance of double-checking with two reliable methods.

How These Pregnancy Tests Work

Both tests detect the pregnancy hormone hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) in your urine. This hormone is produced by the placenta shortly after a fertilised egg attaches to the uterine wall. The clearblue pregnancy test technology uses antibodies that bind specifically to hCG, triggering the test result.

The digital test uses advanced technology to read the result for you and display it clearly on a digital screen. The early detection test uses highly sensitive detection methods that can identify lower levels of hCG, making it suitable for testing before your missed period when hormone levels are still rising.

Who Should Use This Pregnancy Test Combo Pack

This combo pack suits women who want the confidence of testing with two different methods or those who prefer to test early and then confirm their results. It's particularly useful if you have irregular periods or want to test before your expected period date. For comprehensive women's health support, explore our women's health collection for additional products.

The tests are suitable for:

  • Women trying to conceive who want early detection
  • Those who prefer digital results displayed in words
  • Anyone wanting to double-check their pregnancy test result
  • Women with irregular cycles who need flexible testing options

Why Choose This Double-Check Format

Having two different test types in one pack provides reassurance and flexibility in your testing approach. The early detection test allows you to test up to 6 days before your missed period, whilst the digital test provides unmistakable results in clear words. This combination reduces anxiety about interpreting results and gives you confidence in your findings.

Both tests are designed to be used with your first morning urine when hCG concentrations are typically highest, though they can be used at any time of day from the day of your expected period onwards.

Storage and Handling Requirements

Store the tests at room temperature between 2°C and 30°C in their original packaging until ready to use. Do not use tests that have been frozen or exposed to excessive heat. Check the expiry date before use and do not use expired tests as this may affect accuracy.

Keep the tests in a dry place and away from direct sunlight. Once removed from the foil wrapper, use the test immediately for optimal results.

This product is a medicine. Speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using if you have an underlying medical condition or are taking other medicines.

How to Use Your Clearblue Pregnancy Tests

For the digital test, remove the cap and hold the test by the thumb grip with the absorbent tip pointing downwards. Place the absorbent tip in your urine stream for 5 seconds, or alternatively collect urine in a clean, dry container and dip the tip for 20 seconds. Replace the cap and lay the test flat with the result window facing up.

The digital display will show a clock symbol whilst the test is working, then display either "Pregnant" or "Not Pregnant" within 3 minutes. The result will remain on the display for approximately 24 hours.

Using the Early Detection Test

Remove the early detection test from its wrapper and hold it by the thumb grip. Place the absorbent tip downwards in your urine stream for 5 seconds, ensuring the entire absorbent tip is covered. Alternatively, collect urine in a clean container and dip the tip for 5 seconds.

Replace the cap and lay the test flat. Wait 2 minutes before reading the result. Two lines indicate pregnancy, whilst one line in the control window indicates not pregnant. Even a faint line in the result window indicates pregnancy. Do not read results after 10 minutes as they may not be accurate.

Understanding Pregnancy Test Limitations

Like all medicines, Clearblue Pregnancy Test Double-Check & Date Combo Pack can have limitations, although most users will get accurate results. These tests are over 99% accurate from the day of your expected period, but certain factors may affect results. If you're managing other health conditions alongside pregnancy planning, our vitamins and supplements collection offers products that may support your overall wellbeing.

False results can occasionally occur due to medical conditions, medications, or user error. Very rarely, certain medical conditions or medications containing hCG may cause false positive results.

Factors that may affect test accuracy include:

  • Testing too early when hCG levels are very low
  • Diluted urine from drinking excessive fluids
  • Ectopic pregnancy may produce lower hCG levels
  • Recent pregnancy loss or delivery
  • Fertility treatments containing hCG
  • Rare ovarian cysts
  • Menopause in very rare cases
  • Certain medications affecting hormone levels
  • Improper test storage or expired tests
  • Not following instructions correctly
  • Reading results outside the specified time window
  • Defective test units in rare instances

If you experience these or any other side effects, speak to your doctor or pharmacist right away. For more information about reporting side effects please see the MHRA Yellow Card Scheme.
