Nurofen Ibuprofen Meltlets 200mg Lemon Flavoured Tablets

These lemon-flavoured tablets dissolve on your tongue without water, making them convenient for pain relief when you're on the go. Each tablet contains 200mg of ibuprofen, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that helps reduce pain, inflammation and fever.

The meltlet formulation is particularly useful when you cannot access water or prefer not to swallow traditional tablets. You can take these tablets anywhere, whether you're travelling, at work, or simply need quick relief from headaches, period pain, or general aches and pains. For additional relief options, you may also consider browsing our pain relief collection.

How Ibuprofen Works in Your Body

Ibuprofen works by blocking the production of prostaglandins, which are chemicals your body produces in response to injury or illness. These chemicals cause pain, swelling and inflammation at the site of injury.

By reducing prostaglandin production, ibuprofen meltlets help decrease pain signals sent to your brain whilst also reducing inflammation and swelling in affected tissues. This dual action makes ibuprofen effective for both pain relief and reducing inflammation associated with conditions like headaches, dental pain, and muscular aches.

Who Can Benefit from These Dissolving Tablets

These tablets are suitable for adults and children over 12 years who need effective pain relief but prefer not to swallow traditional tablets. The lemon flavour makes them more palatable than standard ibuprofen tablets.

You may find these particularly helpful if you experience:

  • Headaches and migraines
  • Period pain and menstrual cramps
  • Dental pain following procedures
  • Muscular aches and joint pain

Why Choose the Meltlet Format

The dissolving format offers several practical advantages over conventional tablets. You don't need water to take them, which makes them ideal for situations where drinking fluids isn't convenient or possible.

The tablets begin dissolving immediately on your tongue, which may lead to faster absorption compared to tablets that need to be broken down in your stomach first. This can be particularly beneficial when you need prompt pain relief.

Storage and Shelf Life Considerations

Store these tablets in their original packaging below 25°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight. Keep them out of reach and sight of children. Do not use after the expiry date printed on the packaging.

The meltlet formulation requires protection from moisture, so always keep the tablets in their sealed blister pack until you're ready to use them. Once removed from the packaging, use immediately.

This product is a medicine. Speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using if you have an underlying medical condition or are taking other medicines.

Recommended Dosage for Adults and Children

Adults and children over 12 years should take one or two tablets every four to six hours as needed. Do not exceed six tablets in any 24-hour period. Children under 12 years should not use this product unless specifically advised by a doctor.

If you need to take ibuprofen for more than three days for pain relief, or more than three days for fever, you should consult your doctor or pharmacist. Do not exceed the stated dose, as this increases the risk of serious side effects.

How to Take Your Meltlet Tablets

Place the tablet on your tongue and allow it to dissolve completely. You do not need water, though you may drink water afterwards if you wish. The lemon flavour helps mask the medicinal taste as the tablet dissolves.

Take the tablets with or after food if you have a sensitive stomach, as ibuprofen can sometimes cause stomach irritation when taken on an empty stomach. Space doses evenly throughout the day and do not take more frequently than every four hours.
