Lemsip Cold Flu Sachets for Fever and Congestion Relief

You can rely on these convenient powder sachets to help manage the symptoms of cold and flu. Each sachet contains paracetamol and phenylephrine hydrochloride, two active ingredients that work together to address multiple symptoms. The lemon-flavoured formula dissolves easily in hot water to create a warming drink that you can take when feeling unwell.

This pack contains 10 individual sachets, making it easy to take the right dose when you need symptom relief. The sachets are portable and convenient for use at home or work. You simply need to add hot water to create a soothing drink that helps tackle your cold and flu symptoms.

How These Sachets Work Against Cold and Flu Symptoms

The paracetamol in each sachet helps reduce fever and relieve headaches, body aches, and sore throat pain commonly associated with cold and flu. Paracetamol works by blocking certain chemicals in your brain that cause pain and fever, providing you with symptom relief.

Phenylephrine hydrochloride acts as a decongestant to help clear blocked nasal passages. It works by narrowing the blood vessels in your nasal passages, which reduces swelling and congestion. This helps you breathe more easily and reduces the feeling of a stuffy nose that often accompanies cold and flu.

Who Can Use These Cold and Flu Sachets

These sachets are suitable for adults and children over 12 years old who are experiencing cold and flu symptoms. You should not use this product if you are allergic to paracetamol, phenylephrine, or any other ingredients in the sachets. People with certain medical conditions should speak to a pharmacist or doctor before use.

The sachets are particularly helpful if you experience:

  • Fever and high temperature
  • Blocked or stuffy nose
  • Headaches and body aches
  • Sore throat discomfort

If you're looking for additional symptom relief, you might also consider browsing our cold and flu collection for complementary products.

Why Choose Sachets for Cold and Flu Relief

The sachet format offers several practical benefits when you're feeling unwell. Each sachet contains a pre-measured dose, eliminating the need to measure liquid medicines or count tablets when you're not feeling your best. The lemsip cold flu sachets dissolve completely in hot water, creating a warming drink that can be soothing for your throat.

The individual packaging helps maintain the freshness and potency of each dose. You can easily carry sachets with you to work or when travelling, ensuring you have symptom relief available when needed. The lemon flavour helps mask the medicinal taste, making the treatment more pleasant to take.

Storage and Shelf Life Considerations

You should store these sachets in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep them in their original packaging until you're ready to use them, as this helps protect the powder from moisture. Always check the expiry date before use and do not use sachets that have passed their expiry date.

Keep the sachets out of reach and sight of children. If a sachet appears damaged or the powder has changed colour or consistency, do not use it. Store at room temperature and avoid storing in bathrooms or other humid environments where moisture could affect the powder.

This product is a medicine. Speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using if you have an underlying medical condition or are taking other medicines.

How to Take Your Cold and Flu Sachets

You should dissolve the contents of one sachet in a mug of hot water, stirring well until the powder is completely dissolved. Adults and children over 16 years can take one sachet every 4 to 6 hours as needed, but do not exceed 4 sachets in any 24-hour period. Children aged 12 to 15 years should take one sachet every 6 hours, with a maximum of 4 sachets in 24 hours.

Always leave at least 4 hours between doses and do not take more than the recommended amount. You can take the sachets with or without food, but taking them with food may help if you have a sensitive stomach. Make sure the water is hot but not boiling when you prepare your drink.

Important Dosage and Safety Information

You should not use these sachets for more than 3 days for fever relief or 5 days for pain relief without consulting a pharmacist or doctor. If your symptoms persist or worsen, seek medical advice. Do not take these sachets with other paracetamol-containing medicines, as this could lead to an overdose.

If you accidentally take more than the recommended dose, seek immediate medical attention even if you feel well, as paracetamol overdose can cause serious liver damage. You should not drink alcohol while taking these sachets, as this increases the risk of liver problems. Always read the patient information leaflet before use.
