Product Description

Finacea Gel is a topical treatment used for the management of acne and rosacea. It's formulated with azelaic acid 15%, which has antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and keratolytic properties.

For acne, Finacea gently unblocks the skin and lessens the growth of bacteria in the skin to effectively clear blocked pores, blackheads, and pimples. It also reduces redness and swelling, allowing the skin to gradually clear up over time.

For rosacea, Finacea helps target the inflammation and bumps associated with the condition, easing flare-ups and improving the overall appearance of the skin.

You may need to use this medication for up to 4 weeks or longer before you start to notice any improvement. Continue to use Finacea Gel exactly as prescribed, and if, after 12 weeks of treatment, your condition does not improve, talk to your pharmacist.

Keep out of the sight and reach of children at all times. Do not store above 30°C.

Direction For Use

Start by washing your skin with a gentle cleanser and patting it dry before proceeding to apply the gel. Use a tiny amount and spread it in a thin layer over the affected areas twice daily, once in the morning and once at night, and rub it softly until it disappears.

Keep the gel away from sensitive areas like your eyes, mouth, broken, sunburnt, or very irritated skin, and inside the nose. If by mistake it gets into those areas, rinse properly with lots of water.

It can take about 4 weeks or longer before your symptoms improve, so keep on using it and don’t stop unless your pharmacist instructs you to.

Side Effects

Like all medicines, Finacea gel can cause side effects, but not everyone gets them. Most people find them mild, and they improve as your skin gets used to the treatment.

Some people may notice:

· Burning, stinging, or tingling where the gel was applied

· Itchy or dry skin

· Redness or peeling

· A rash or worsening of acne at the start

These usually settle down after a few days or weeks. Using a gentle, oil-free moisturiser may help.

Stop using the gel and speak to your pharmacist if:

· The irritation is severe or doesn’t improve

· You notice swelling, pain, or intense redness that feels unusual

Remember to keep the gel out of your eyes, mouth, and nose, and wash your hands after using it.
