Product Description

Duac Daily 10mg/g + 50mg/g Gel is a white to slightly yellow-coloured gel that combines two powerful active ingredients, Clindamycin and Benzoyl Peroxide, to help treat moderate acne. Clindamycin is an antibiotic that stops acne-causing bacteria from spreading, while Benzoyl Peroxide helps reduce blackheads and whiteheads, clears pores, and kills acne bacteria.

A lot of people have seen results in 2 weeks, with clear skin developing as well over time. Duac Gel helps clear those lingering acne scars, making your skin look healthier and smoother.

Duac Daily Gel can be used with a non-comedogenic moisturiser if the skin becomes dry or irritated. It comes in 25g, 30g, or 50g tubes - the 30g size is the most commonly prescribed.

This product is for use by adults and children 12 years and older. Keep below 25°C and discard two months after opening. Keep out of the reach and sight of children at all times.

Direction For Use

Always use Duac Daily Gel exactly as your pharmacist prescribed to you. This treatment is used for external use only and should never be swallowed.

Start by washing your face with a gentle cleanser and proceed to apply a thin layer gel to the affected areas of the skin where acne lies once daily in the evening. Make sure the skin is completely dry before applying the gel. Always avoid sensitive areas such as the eyes, mouth, lips, and inside of the nose.

Wash your hands after applying the gel. And if you start to experience dryness or irritation, you can use an oil-free moisturiser, or simply adjust how often you apply the gel until your skin gets used to it.

It may take several weeks before you notice any improvement, so keep using it and don’t stop unless your pharmacist tells you to.

Side effects of Duac Daily Gel
Like all medicines, Duac Daily Gel can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them. Most are mild and improve as your skin gets used to the treatment.

Common side effects (may affect up to 1 in 10 people):

· Redness, dryness, peeling, or itching of the skin

· Mild burning or stinging sensation at the application site

Uncommon side effects (may affect up to 1 in 100 people):

· Headache

· Tingling or numbness of the skin

· Worsening of acne at the beginning of treatment (usually temporary)

Rare but serious side effects (fewer than 1 in 1,000 people):

· Severe skin irritation or allergic reaction (swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat, difficulty breathing, rash, or hives)

· Severe skin peeling, blistering, or painful rash

· Diarrhoea or stomach pain (this may be a sign of antibiotic-related colitis – very rare, but serious)
