Deep Heat Patches for Targeted Muscle and Joint Relief

These deep heat patches provide targeted warmth therapy for muscle and joint discomfort. Each patch delivers consistent heat for up to 8 hours, allowing you to continue with your daily activities whilst receiving therapeutic warmth. The self-adhesive design ensures the patch stays securely in place during movement.

You receive 4 individual patches in each pack, giving you multiple applications for ongoing relief. The patches are designed to conform to body contours, making them suitable for application on various areas including the back, shoulders, and joints.

How Heat Therapy Works on Muscle Tension

Heat therapy works by increasing blood flow to the affected area, which can help relax tense muscles and reduce stiffness. The warmth penetrates through the skin to reach underlying muscle tissue, promoting circulation and potentially easing discomfort.

The patches activate upon contact with air and gradually warm up to provide sustained heat delivery. This controlled heat application allows for consistent therapeutic benefit throughout the wear time.

Who Can Benefit from Heat Patches

These patches are suitable for adults experiencing muscle tension, stiffness, or joint discomfort. They may be particularly helpful for those who need portable relief that doesn't interfere with daily activities. You might find them useful if you experience occasional muscle discomfort from physical activity or prolonged sitting.

  • Adults with muscle tension or stiffness
  • Those seeking hands-free heat therapy
  • People who need discreet pain relief during work or activities
  • Individuals who prefer topical rather than oral pain relief options

For additional topical relief options, you may also consider browsing our pain relief collection for complementary products.

Convenient Application Without Mess

Unlike creams or gels, these patches provide heat therapy without any mess or strong odours. The adhesive backing allows for easy application and removal, whilst the thin profile means they can be worn discreetly under clothing.

Each patch is individually wrapped, making them convenient for travel or keeping in your bag for when needed. The patches don't require any preparation or additional equipment to use.

Safe Storage and Handling Guidelines

Store the patches in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Keep them in their original packaging until ready to use to maintain their effectiveness. Once opened, each patch should be applied immediately as exposure to air activates the heating mechanism.

Check the patch temperature regularly during use and remove if you experience any skin irritation. Do not use on broken or damaged skin, and avoid applying over areas with poor circulation.

This product is a medicine. Speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using if you have an underlying medical condition or are taking other medicines.

How to Apply Your Heat Patch Correctly

Clean and dry the skin area where you plan to apply the patch. Remove the patch from its individual wrapper and peel away the protective backing to expose the adhesive side. Apply the patch firmly to the affected area, ensuring good contact with the skin. The patch will begin to warm within minutes of application.

Press down gently around the edges to ensure the patch adheres properly. You can wear the patch for up to 8 hours, but remove it sooner if you experience any discomfort or skin irritation.

When and How Often to Use

Apply one patch to the affected area as needed. You should not use more than one patch on the same area at the same time. Wait at least 2 hours between applications to the same skin area to allow your skin to recover.

Remove the patch slowly and carefully to avoid skin irritation. If any adhesive residue remains on your skin, you can gently wash it away with warm soapy water. Do not use the patches on the same skin area for more than 7 consecutive days without consulting a healthcare professional.

Potential Side Effects and Skin Reactions

Like all medicines, Deep Heat Patches can have side effects, although not everyone will experience them. If you're exploring various creams and ointments for topical relief, it's important to understand how your skin might react to different treatments.

The most common side effects are related to skin reactions at the application site. These typically occur due to sensitivity to heat or the adhesive components.

  • Skin redness at the application site
  • Mild skin irritation or itching
  • Skin dryness where the patch was applied
  • Temporary skin discolouration
  • Burning sensation if the patch becomes too hot
  • Allergic reaction to adhesive materials
  • Skin blistering in rare cases of overheating
  • Increased sensitivity in the treated area
  • Rash or hives around the patch area
  • Swelling at the application site

If you experience these or any other side effects, speak to your doctor or pharmacist right away. For more information about reporting side effects please see the MHRA Yellow Card Scheme.
