How Much Does Mounjaro Cost in the UK?

If you're looking for the cheapest Mounjaro in the UK, the number to compare is the total you'll pay each month once consultation, delivery and dose increases are counted, not just the headline price of the first pen. What the first four months typically cost

Most patients start on 2.5mg and step up every four weeks if the dose is well tolerated. Following that schedule to 10mg costs £124.99 + £179 + £220 + £245 = £768.99 over the first four months with the new-patient discount. Your prescriber decides when, or whether, to increase your dose, and many patients settle on a lower maintenance dose.

Cheapest Mounjaro UK: How Our Prices Compare

We checked the standard (repeat order) price of a single Mounjaro pen on other UK online pharmacies' websites on 12 October 2026. Where a pharmacy didn't clearly list a dose, it's marked with a dash.

Why Mounjaro Prices Vary Between UK Pharmacies

Every UK pharmacy buys the same Eli Lilly pen, so price differences come from how each one sets its margin and what it bundles in. In September 2025 Eli Lilly raised the UK list price of Mounjaro, with the highest dose rising from £122 to £330 a month before pharmacy rebates.[7] Since then, private prices have varied widely depending on the rebate terms each pharmacy has and how much of the increase it passes on.

Pricing models also differ. Some pharmacies show a low pen price and then add a consultation fee, delivery charge or monthly review fee. At Cured Pharmacy (GPhC 9012511), the prescriber consultation and delivery are included in the price you see above.[1]

Extra costs to check before you buy

When comparing pharmacies, ask for the total monthly cost and check whether it includes: the prescriber consultation, tracked cold-chain delivery, follow-up reviews when your dose changes, pen needles, and a sharps bin. A pen that looks £15 cheaper can end up costing more once these are added.

How to Check You're Getting Genuine Mounjaro

A low price is only worth having if the medicine is genuine. Check that the pharmacy is on the GPhC register and names its superintendent pharmacist. At Cured Pharmacy that is Tarun Kumar (GPhC 2233073), who oversees dispensing so every tirzepatide pen is UK-licensed and traceable. Counterfeit weight loss injections are sold online and may contain the wrong ingredient or none at all.[2]

Genuine Mounjaro comes as a sealed Eli Lilly KwikPen with a batch number, and it must be kept at 2–8°C, so it should arrive in temperature-controlled packaging. If a price is far below what registered pharmacies charge, treat it as a warning sign.

Red flags when comparing Mounjaro prices

Avoid any seller that doesn't require a prescriber consultation, as tirzepatide is a prescription-only medicine. Be wary of websites with no GPhC registration number, no named pharmacist, no UK address, or payment by bank transfer or crypto only. Social media sellers and anyone offering "compounded" or "generic" tirzepatide are not legitimate UK suppliers.

How Your Dose Affects Monthly Cost

Mounjaro comes in six strengths – 2.5mg, 5mg, 7.5mg, 10mg, 12.5mg and 15mg – each taken once a week. In the SURMOUNT-1 trial, gradual dose increases over around 20 weeks helped tolerability, with average weight reductions of 15–20% of body weight at higher doses.[3]

Higher strengths cost more per pen, but staying on the starter dose just to keep costs down usually means less effective treatment. Your prescriber will recommend the lowest dose that keeps working for you, and many patients maintain their weight loss on a mid-range dose rather than 15mg.

Mounjaro vs Other Weight Loss Treatments on Price

Tirzepatide acts on both GIP and GLP-1 receptors, and in head-to-head trials it produced greater weight reduction than semaglutide (Wegovy) at comparable timepoints, though individual responses vary.[4]

Wegovy (from £89), Saxenda (from £68) and Orlistat (from £32) have lower starting prices. Orlistat works by reducing fat absorption rather than appetite and typically produces more modest weight loss. Your prescriber will recommend the most suitable option for your health, goals and budget.
