Wartner Wart Remover for Effective Treatment

You can treat common warts and verrucas on your hands and feet with this cryotherapy treatment that freezes the affected tissue. The treatment works by applying extreme cold directly to the wart or verruca, causing the infected skin cells to die and eventually fall away.

This wart remover uses the same freezing technology that healthcare professionals employ in clinical settings. The treatment typically requires one to three applications, depending on the size and depth of the wart or verruca you're treating.

How Cryotherapy Freezing Technology Works

The treatment creates temperatures as low as -57°C when applied to your skin. This extreme cold destroys the wart tissue by forming ice crystals within the infected cells, which disrupts their structure and kills them.

After treatment, you'll notice the treated area may become white or pale, which is normal. Over the following days and weeks, the frozen tissue will gradually separate from healthy skin and fall away, revealing new, healthy skin underneath.

Who Should Use This Verruca Treatment

This treatment is suitable for adults and children over 4 years old who have common warts on their hands or plantar warts (verrucas) on their feet. You can use it to treat warts that haven't responded to other over-the-counter treatments.

The treatment is particularly effective for:

  • Small to medium-sized warts and verrucas
  • Recently developed warts that haven't become deeply embedded
  • Single warts rather than clusters of multiple warts
  • People seeking a quick, professional-grade treatment at home

If you're looking for comprehensive foot care solutions, this treatment can be part of your routine foot health maintenance.

Why Choose Cryotherapy for Wart Removal

Cryotherapy offers several advantages over other wart removal methods. The treatment is quick, typically taking just seconds to apply, and you can perform it at home without needing to visit a healthcare provider.

Unlike acid-based treatments that require daily application over weeks or months, cryotherapy usually requires only one to three treatments. The method also has a lower risk of scarring compared to surgical removal methods.

Clinical Suitability and Storage Requirements

You should store this treatment at room temperature and keep it away from heat sources and direct sunlight. The pressurised canister should be kept upright and never punctured or exposed to temperatures above 50°C.

Before using this treatment, ensure you don't have diabetes, circulation problems, or reduced sensation in the treatment area. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their healthcare provider before use.

This product is a medicine. Speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using if you have an underlying medical condition or are taking other medicines.

How to Apply the Cryotherapy Treatment

Before treatment, you should wash and dry the affected area thoroughly. Remove the safety cap from the applicator and hold the canister upright. Press the applicator firmly against the wart or verruca for the recommended time based on the size of the lesion you're treating.

You may experience a stinging or burning sensation during application, which is normal. After treatment, replace the safety cap and wash your hands thoroughly. Avoid touching the treated area unnecessarily.

Treatment Frequency and Duration Guidelines

You should wait at least two weeks between treatments to allow your skin to heal and assess the effectiveness. Most warts and verrucas require one to three treatments for complete removal. If the wart hasn't improved after three treatments, you should consult your pharmacist or doctor.

You'll typically see the treated area turn white immediately after application, followed by gradual darkening over the next few days. The treated tissue will eventually separate and fall away, revealing healthy skin underneath.

Understanding Potential Side Effects

Like all medicines, Wartner Wart & Verruca Remover can have side effects, although not everyone will experience them. Most side effects are related to the freezing action of the treatment and affect the skin around the application site.

The most common side effects include temporary pain, stinging, or burning at the treatment site, which typically subsides within a few hours. You may also notice skin discolouration or blistering around the treated area. For additional skin care products to support healing, consult your pharmacist.

Known side effects may include:

  • Pain or discomfort at the application site
  • Temporary skin whitening or darkening
  • Blistering or swelling of treated skin
  • Mild burning or stinging sensation
  • Temporary numbness in the treated area
  • Skin irritation or redness
  • Formation of a scab over the treated area
  • Temporary changes in skin texture

If you experience these or any other side effects, speak to your doctor or pharmacist right away. For more information about reporting side effects please see the MHRA Yellow Card Scheme.
