Zineryt Solution is a simple, easy-to-apply topical treatment for acne. It is formulated with two active ingredients — erythromycin (an antibiotic) and zinc acetate. They work together to help fight acne by slowing the growth of acne-causing bacteria and calming inflammation, while promoting your skin’s healing.

You will be prescribed Zineryt in either a 30ml or 90ml bottle size, and the solution is made up for you before it’s brought to your local pharmacy. The expiration date should always be listed on the label and written on the box. You can tell exactly how long it’s safe to use.

Such treatment may help erase the red splotches, prevent new breakouts, and hasten healing after pimples. With consistent use, you may begin to see clearer skin in as few as 10 weeks.

Because it is formulated with an antibiotic, Zineryt goes straight to the bacteria underpinning acne, making it a focused treatment suitable for mild to moderate acne.

Ensure Zineryt is out of sight and reach of children, store it below 25°C, and dispose of it after you have used it for 8 weeks.

Directions For Use

Always use Zineryt as prescribed by your pharmacist.

Before applying, wash your face with a gentle cleanser or just with lukewarm water and pat it dry. Using the special applicator provided, apply a thin layer of Zineryt solution over the affected area, usually the whole face, and sometimes the chest or back if acne appears there.

The usual recommended dose is two times a day, once in the morning and once in the evening. For better results, it’s recommended that you apply it at the same time each day.

If you accidentally use more solution than recommended, it won’t clear acne faster and could just dry out or irritate your skin. If you forget a dose, just apply it at the next regular time; don’t double up.

Side Effects

Avoid getting the solution in sensitive areas like your eyes, mouth, or on broken skin. If contact happens, rinse thoroughly with water. You should not take Zineryt if you are allergic to erythromycin, zinc acetate, or any of the other ingredients in the solution.

If you think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, contact your pharmacist so they can give you the best advice for you. You can breastfeed while you're using Zineryt, but avoid putting it on your chest so the baby doesn’t come in contact with it.
