Numark Latex Examination Gloves for Medical Protection

You can rely on these disposable gloves to provide barrier protection during medical examinations and procedures. These gloves are manufactured from natural rubber latex, offering flexibility and tactile sensitivity that healthcare professionals require for precise work.

The gloves conform to your hands for comfortable wear during extended use. They feature a beaded cuff design that helps prevent roll-down and makes removal easier after use. Each glove is powder-free to reduce the risk of contamination and allergic reactions associated with powdered variants.

How These Medical Gloves Provide Protection

The latex material creates an effective barrier against bodily fluids, bacteria, and other contaminants you may encounter during medical procedures. The gloves stretch to accommodate hand movements whilst maintaining their protective integrity.

These examination gloves are designed for single use only. You should dispose of them immediately after each procedure to prevent cross-contamination between patients or different areas of treatment.

Who Should Use These Protective Gloves

These gloves are suitable for healthcare professionals, carers, and anyone requiring hand protection during medical or care procedures. They are particularly useful when you need to maintain hygiene standards whilst retaining dexterity. You may find these gloves beneficial when providing first aid or personal care.

The gloves are appropriate for:

  • Medical examinations and minor procedures
  • Personal care and hygiene tasks
  • Handling potentially contaminated materials
  • Food preparation where hygiene is essential

Why Choose Powder-Free Design

The powder-free formulation reduces the risk of allergic reactions that can occur with powdered gloves. This makes them more suitable for individuals with sensitive skin or latex sensitivities, though those with severe latex allergies should avoid latex gloves entirely.

Without powder, these latex examination gloves also reduce the risk of contaminating sterile environments or interfering with medical equipment that may be sensitive to powder residue.

Storage and Clinical Suitability

You should store these gloves in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Proper storage helps maintain the latex integrity and extends the shelf life of the product.

These gloves meet medical device standards for examination gloves. However, they are not suitable for surgical procedures that require sterile gloves with higher protection levels.

This product is a medicine. Speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using if you have an underlying medical condition or are taking other medicines.

How to Put On Your Examination Gloves

You should wash and dry your hands thoroughly before putting on the gloves. Select the appropriate size to ensure proper fit - gloves that are too tight may tear, whilst loose gloves can compromise dexterity and protection.

Hold the glove by the cuff and slide your hand in carefully, avoiding contact with the outer surface. Pull the cuff over your wrist to create a secure seal. Repeat the process for the second glove, being careful not to contaminate the outer surface of either glove.

Proper Removal and Disposal Instructions

You must remove the gloves carefully to avoid contamination. Pinch the outside of one glove near the wrist and peel it away from your hand, turning it inside out as you remove it. Hold the removed glove in your remaining gloved hand.

For the second glove, slide your fingers underneath the cuff and peel it off, turning it inside out over the first glove. This technique ensures that any contaminants remain trapped inside the removed gloves. Dispose of used gloves immediately in appropriate waste containers and wash your hands thoroughly afterwards.

Understanding Potential Reactions to Latex Gloves

Like all medical devices, Numark Latex Examination Gloves can cause reactions, although not everyone will experience them. Some individuals may develop sensitivity to latex with repeated exposure, particularly those working in healthcare environments where you frequently use skin care products alongside protective equipment.

The most common reactions involve skin irritation or allergic responses to the latex material. These typically occur in individuals with existing latex sensitivities or those who develop sensitivity over time.

Known reactions may include:

  • Skin redness or rash on hands and wrists
  • Itching or burning sensation
  • Dry, cracked, or peeling skin
  • Contact dermatitis
  • Swelling of hands or fingers
  • Hives or welts
  • Respiratory symptoms in severe cases
  • Sneezing or runny nose
  • Watery or itchy eyes
  • Difficulty breathing (rare but serious)
  • Anaphylactic reaction (very rare but requires immediate medical attention)
  • Nausea or dizziness in severe allergic reactions

If you experience these or any other side effects, speak to your doctor or pharmacist right away. For more information about reporting side effects please see the MHRA Yellow Card Scheme.
