Freestyle have updated the Libre 2 to the plus, but there is a compatibility issue with the app where it fails to read the sensor, cannot connect and reports that the app keeps stopping. This occurred on 2x Freestyle Libre 2+ sensors that I have used. Using the older model the issue seems to disappear.
Speaking with Abbot they advised that the fault could be either with the sensor or the app and advised that the app be reinstalled and they are sending a replacement sensor.

I ordered these because my chemists supplier was struggling to get some stock to their warehouse and I only had 5 days time left on the one I was using.

purchased libre2 twice now and sensors have failed half way through the timed 15 days

  • Some people may feel mild skin pain when the sensor is placed.
  • Redness or small marks can appear where the sensor touches the skin.
  • Itching or swelling may happen if your skin is very sensitive.
  • Rarely, an allergic reaction to the sensor parts can occur.
  • If you notice any reaction/irritation, please seek medical advice.

Other

Most people only see the FreeStyle Libre 2 plus sensor as a sugar checker. But there are small details that can make life easier when you use it.

These are things many miss but yet they add real value each day

1. The sensor keeps working even while you sleep or rest.

2. It stores sugar readings for hours even without scanning.

3. Water will not stop it since it is safe for showers.

4. It can warn you before sugar goes too high or too low.

You need the app running so it can track sugar levels all the time.

If closed, the app may miss alerts or new sugar readings.

Keeping it open makes sure your numbers stay updated and easy to see.

It helps you and your doctor trust the results from the FreeStyle Libre 2 plus sensor.
