Durex Extra Time Condoms for Extended Intimacy

You can enhance your intimate experiences with these specially designed condoms that contain benzocaine, a local anaesthetic that helps reduce sensitivity. Each pack contains 10 latex condoms that are electronically tested for reliability and safety. The condoms are manufactured to meet British Standard BS EN ISO 4074 and carry the CE mark, ensuring they meet European safety requirements.

These condoms are designed for men who want to help manage premature ejaculation naturally. The benzocaine coating is applied to the inside of the condom tip, where it works to temporarily reduce sensation without completely eliminating pleasure. You'll find these durex extra time condoms are made from natural rubber latex and are lubricated for comfort during use.

How Benzocaine Delay Technology Works

The active ingredient benzocaine is a topical anaesthetic that temporarily reduces nerve sensitivity in the applied area. When you wear the condom, the benzocaine comes into contact with the skin and begins to work within minutes. This helps to decrease sensitivity whilst maintaining enough sensation for enjoyable intimacy.

The concentration of benzocaine is carefully formulated to provide the desired delay effect without causing complete numbness. You should allow a few minutes after putting on the condom for the benzocaine to take effect before beginning intimate activity.

Who Should Consider These Delay Condoms

These condoms are suitable for adult men who experience premature ejaculation or those who simply want to extend intimate moments. You might find them particularly helpful if you've tried other methods without success or prefer a non-prescription approach to managing timing during intimacy.

The condoms are appropriate for you if you:

  • Are not allergic to latex or benzocaine
  • Want a discreet solution for premature ejaculation
  • Prefer barrier contraception combined with delay benefits
  • Are looking for an alternative to other sexual health products

Why Choose Benzocaine-Based Delay Condoms

Benzocaine has been used safely in various topical applications for decades and is well-tolerated by most people. Unlike some delay sprays or creams that require separate application, these condoms provide the active ingredient in a convenient, pre-measured dose that's applied exactly where needed.

The latex material provides reliable contraceptive protection when used correctly, whilst the benzocaine coating addresses timing concerns simultaneously. This dual-purpose approach means you don't need to use multiple products or interrupt intimacy for separate applications.

Storage and Expiry Information

You should store these condoms in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and sharp objects. The expiry date for this batch is 30/04/2026, and you must not use them after this date as the latex may deteriorate and the benzocaine may lose effectiveness.

Keep the condoms in their original foil packaging until ready to use, as this protects them from damage and contamination. Check each condom for tears or damage before use, and never use a condom that appears damaged or has passed its expiry date.

This product is a medicine. Speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using if you have an underlying medical condition or are taking other medicines.

How to Use Delay Condoms Correctly

You should put the condom on when the penis is fully erect, before any genital contact occurs. Carefully tear open the foil wrapper at the serrated edge, taking care not to damage the condom with fingernails or jewellery. Check that the condom is the right way round - the rolled rim should be on the outside.

Pinch the tip of the condom to remove air, then roll it down the full length of the erect penis. The benzocaine coating is on the inside of the condom tip, so ensure this area makes proper contact with the skin. Allow 2-3 minutes for the benzocaine to take effect before beginning intimate activity.

After Use and Disposal Instructions

You should withdraw whilst the penis is still erect, holding the condom firmly at the base to prevent it from slipping off. Remove the condom carefully, ensuring no spillage occurs. Wrap the used condom in tissue and dispose of it in household waste - never flush condoms down the toilet as they can cause blockages.

Wash your hands thoroughly after handling the used condom. If you plan to continue intimate activity, you must use a fresh condom each time. Never reuse condoms or turn them inside out, as this increases the risk of breakage and reduces contraceptive effectiveness.

Potential Side Effects and Safety Information

Like all medicines, Durex Extra Time Condoms can have side effects, although not everyone will experience them. The benzocaine ingredient may cause local reactions in some users, whilst the latex material can trigger allergic responses in people with latex sensitivity. Most side effects are mild and temporary, resolving once you stop using the product.

If you experience any concerning symptoms, remove the condom immediately and seek appropriate medical advice. Some people may find they need to try different intimate health products to find what works best for their individual needs.

Known side effects may include:

  • Temporary numbness or tingling sensation
  • Mild skin irritation or redness
  • Allergic reaction to latex (rash, swelling, difficulty breathing)
  • Contact dermatitis from benzocaine sensitivity
  • Temporary loss of sensation that persists after removal
  • Burning or stinging sensation during initial application
  • Skin dryness or peeling in sensitive individuals
  • Reduced effectiveness if allergic reaction occurs

If you experience these or any other side effects, speak to your doctor or pharmacist right away. For more information about reporting side effects please see the MHRA Yellow Card Scheme.
