Buy Colgate Duraphat 2800 Toothpaste Online In The UK

Colgate Duraphat 2800 Toothpaste is a prescription only toothpaste, containing high fluoride specially designed for people who are at a higher risk of tooth decay. Duraphat 2800 contains double the amount of fluoride you'd get in a normal toothpaste (which is generally around 1450ppm for adults) meaning your teeth will be even better protected from decay.

This toothpaste is perfect for those who suffer from frequent fillings, weakend enamel, a dry mouth or wear orthodontic braces or simply want extra protection as recommended by dentists. The high fluoride concentration helps remineralise the enamel, making it tougher, smoother, and more resistant to acids caused by food and bacteria.

Because it works deeper and more effectively than standard toothpaste, Duraphat 2800 is often part of a dentist’s prevention plan to stop decay from progressing.

How Does Colgate Duraphat 2800 Work?

Duraphat 2800 hardens enamel by applying a high dose of fluoride to the teeth. The fluoride in this remineralizing toothpaste for enamel binds to the weakened areas of your enamel, working to reestablish the very early stages of cavities and strengthen weak spots to help prevent getting cavities. It also limits the acid your teeth are exposed to in the course of a day, which ultimately helps keep them healthier.

Who Is Colgate Duraphat 2800 For?

This toothpaste is recommended for:

  • Adults and teenagers aged 16 and over

  • People who experience repeated tooth decay

  • Individuals with sensitive or weakened enamel

  • Patients with orthodontic braces or dry mouth

  • Anyone advised by a dentist to use a high-fluoride toothpaste

It is not suitable for children under 16 due to the high fluoride content.

How To Use Colgate Duraphat 2800 Toothpaste

Always use Colgate Duraphat 2800 exactly as your dentist or pharmacist has told you. You should brush your teeth three times each day and after every meal. First, wet your brush until damp and apply a small amount of toothpaste (approximately 2 centimeters) to the bristles before brushing thoroughly for at least two minutes.

Spit the extra out and do not rinse with water after the brushing. This helps the fluoride to remain on your teeth longer and work better. Be certain to brush around the entire mouth, particularly at the gum line and any spot that was affected by decay previously.

Avoid swallowing the toothpaste. If you are also using mouthwash or other fluoride treatments, ask your dentist whether to adjust their doses to keep from getting too much fluoride.
