A&D Medical UA767SW Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor

The A&D Medical UA767SW provides accurate blood pressure readings in the comfort of your own home. This upper arm blood pressure monitor features automatic inflation and deflation, making it simple to use without requiring manual pumping. The device stores previous readings, allowing you to track your blood pressure patterns over time.

This digital monitor displays both systolic and diastolic pressure readings alongside your pulse rate on a clear LCD screen. The cuff fits standard adult arm circumferences and connects securely to the main unit for reliable measurements.

How the UA767SW Blood Pressure Monitor Works

The monitor uses oscillometric measurement technology to detect blood flow through your brachial artery. When you press the start button, the cuff automatically inflates around your upper arm, then gradually deflates whilst sensors detect pressure changes in your artery.

The device calculates your systolic pressure (when your heart contracts) and diastolic pressure (when your heart relaxes between beats). Results appear on the digital display within approximately 30 seconds of starting the measurement cycle. For those managing multiple health conditions, you might also find our diabetes monitoring products useful for comprehensive health tracking.

Who Should Use This Blood Pressure Monitor

This monitor suits adults who need regular blood pressure monitoring as recommended by their healthcare provider. It's particularly useful for people with hypertension who require frequent readings to track their condition and medication effectiveness.

  • Adults with diagnosed high blood pressure requiring regular monitoring
  • People whose doctors have recommended home blood pressure tracking
  • Individuals wanting to monitor their cardiovascular health proactively
  • Those who prefer the convenience of home measurements over clinic visits

Memory Function and Data Storage

The UA767SW stores your previous readings in its internal memory, enabling you to review trends in your blood pressure over time. This feature helps you and your healthcare provider identify patterns and assess how well your treatment plan is working.

You can access stored readings by pressing the memory button, which displays your most recent measurements. This data proves valuable during medical appointments when discussing your blood pressure management with your doctor or pharmacist.

Clinical Accuracy and Validation

A&D Medical designs their monitors to meet clinical accuracy standards for home blood pressure measurement. The UA767SW undergoes testing to ensure it provides readings comparable to those obtained by healthcare professionals using manual sphygmomanometers.

Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Keep the cuff clean and avoid folding it sharply to maintain its integrity and ensure accurate readings over time.

This product is a medicine. Speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using if you have an underlying medical condition or are taking other medicines.

How to Use Your A&D Medical Blood Pressure Monitor

Sit quietly for five minutes before taking your measurement, with your feet flat on the floor and your back supported. Remove tight clothing from your upper arm and wrap the cuff around your bare arm, positioning it approximately 2cm above your elbow. The cuff should feel snug but not uncomfortably tight.

Rest your arm on a table at heart level and remain still during the measurement. Press the start button and allow the cuff to inflate automatically. Avoid talking or moving whilst the device takes your reading, as this can affect accuracy.

When to Take Blood Pressure Readings

Take measurements at the same times each day for consistency, ideally in the morning and evening. Avoid measuring within 30 minutes of eating, drinking caffeine, smoking, or exercising, as these activities can temporarily affect your blood pressure.

Record your readings in a diary or logbook to share with your healthcare provider. If you get an unusually high or low reading, wait a few minutes and take another measurement to confirm the result.

Important Safety Information for Blood Pressure Monitoring

Like all medical devices, the A&D Medical UA767SW blood pressure monitor requires proper use to ensure safety and accuracy. Incorrect usage may lead to inaccurate readings or discomfort during measurement. If you're managing your health with multiple monitoring devices, our electrical health and diagnostic range offers various options for comprehensive health tracking.

Most users experience no adverse effects when using this blood pressure monitor correctly. However, some people may experience temporary discomfort during cuff inflation.

  • Temporary arm discomfort during cuff inflation
  • Skin irritation from prolonged cuff contact
  • Bruising in individuals with sensitive skin
  • Anxiety from frequent blood pressure monitoring
  • Inaccurate readings due to improper positioning
  • Cuff over-inflation causing excessive pressure
  • Difficulty obtaining readings on very thin or large arms
  • Device malfunction leading to error messages

If you experience these or any other side effects, speak to your doctor or pharmacist right away. For more information about reporting side effects please see the MHRA Yellow Card Scheme.
