A&D Medical UA-651BLEISO Connected Blood Pressure Monitor

The A&D Medical UA-651BLEISO offers accurate blood pressure monitoring with Bluetooth connectivity for seamless data tracking. This connected blood pressure monitor automatically transmits your readings to compatible smartphone apps, allowing you to maintain detailed records of your cardiovascular health over time.

Designed for home use, this monitor provides clinically validated measurements that meet international accuracy standards. The device features an easy-to-read display and stores multiple readings in its internal memory, ensuring you never lose important health data.

How Bluetooth Connectivity Works

The UA-651BLEISO connects wirelessly to your smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth technology. Once paired with compatible health apps, your blood pressure readings automatically sync after each measurement, creating a comprehensive digital health record.

This wireless functionality eliminates the need for manual data entry and reduces the risk of recording errors. Your healthcare provider can easily access your complete blood pressure history during consultations, supporting more informed treatment decisions. For comprehensive health monitoring, explore our electrical health and diagnostic collection.

Who Should Use This Monitor

This digital blood pressure monitor suits adults who need regular cardiovascular monitoring at home. It's particularly beneficial for individuals managing hypertension, those recovering from cardiac events, or people following preventive health programmes.

The device is suitable for:

  • Adults with diagnosed high blood pressure requiring daily monitoring
  • Individuals tracking blood pressure changes during medication adjustments
  • People with family history of cardiovascular disease
  • Those preferring digital health record keeping

Clinical Accuracy and Validation

The A&D Medical UA-651BLEISO meets British Hypertension Society protocols and European Society of Hypertension standards for accuracy. The oscillometric measurement method provides reliable systolic and diastolic pressure readings along with pulse rate detection.

Clinical validation ensures the monitor delivers consistent results comparable to professional medical equipment. The device undergoes rigorous testing to maintain measurement precision across different user profiles and environmental conditions.

Storage and Battery Life

The monitor stores up to 60 readings in its internal memory, with date and time stamps for each measurement. Battery life extends for approximately 300 measurements using four AA batteries, making it suitable for long-term home monitoring without frequent battery changes.

Store the device in a dry environment at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. The included carrying case protects the monitor during transport and storage.

This product is a medicine. Speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using if you have an underlying medical condition or are taking other medicines.

Setting Up Your Blood Pressure Monitor

Before first use, insert four AA batteries into the battery compartment and download the compatible smartphone app. Pair the device with your phone by following the Bluetooth connection instructions in the user manual. Ensure your phone's Bluetooth is enabled and the app has necessary permissions to receive health data.

Position the cuff on your upper arm, ensuring the bottom edge sits 2-3 centimetres above your elbow crease. The cuff should feel snug but not tight, allowing one finger to fit underneath. Sit quietly for five minutes before taking measurements, with your feet flat on the floor and arm supported at heart level.

Taking Accurate Measurements

Press the start button to begin automatic inflation. Remain still and avoid talking during the measurement cycle, which typically takes 30-60 seconds. The monitor will automatically deflate and display your systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, and pulse rate on the screen.

Take measurements at the same time each day for consistency, preferably in the morning before medication and in the evening before dinner. Record any unusual circumstances that might affect readings, such as recent exercise, caffeine consumption, or stress levels. The device will automatically transmit results to your paired smartphone app.

Understanding Potential Side Effects

Like all medical devices, the A&D Medical UA-651BLEISO blood pressure monitor can cause minor discomfort during use, although most users experience no adverse effects. Some people may find the cuff inflation uncomfortable, particularly during repeated measurements. For additional health monitoring options, browse our diabetes monitoring range.

The most commonly reported issues relate to temporary discomfort from cuff pressure rather than serious side effects. These typically resolve immediately after measurement completion.

Possible effects during use may include:

  • Temporary arm discomfort from cuff inflation
  • Mild bruising in sensitive individuals
  • Skin irritation from frequent cuff placement
  • Temporary numbness or tingling during measurement
  • Anxiety from blood pressure monitoring process
  • Dizziness if measurements taken too frequently
  • Arm fatigue from repeated positioning
  • Sleep disruption if used late in evening

If you experience these or any other side effects, speak to your doctor or pharmacist right away. For more information about reporting side effects please see the MHRA Yellow Card Scheme.
