Children's Vitamin Drops for Daily Health

You can support your child's nutritional needs with Healthy Start vitamin drops, a government-backed supplement programme designed for children aged 6 months to 4 years. These drops provide essential vitamins A, C, and D in a convenient liquid format that you can easily add to your child's food or drink.

The 10ml bottle contains a measured dose dispenser to help you give the correct amount each day. Each dose delivers the recommended daily allowance of vitamins that support your child's immune system, bone development, and overall growth during these crucial early years.

How These Vitamin Drops Support Development

Vitamin A in these drops helps maintain your child's vision and supports their immune system function. Vitamin C contributes to iron absorption and helps protect cells from oxidative stress, whilst also supporting normal collagen formation for healthy skin and gums.

Vitamin D plays a crucial role in your child's bone and tooth development by helping their body absorb calcium effectively. This is particularly important during rapid growth phases when your child's skeletal system is developing. You'll find these children's vitamin drops complement a balanced diet, especially during winter months when natural vitamin D synthesis from sunlight is reduced.

Who Should Consider These Vitamin Supplements

These vitamin drops are suitable for children from 6 months to 4 years old, particularly those who may not be getting adequate nutrition from food alone. You might consider these supplements if your child is a fussy eater, follows a restricted diet, or has limited sun exposure.

The drops are especially beneficial for:

  • Children who consume less than 500ml of formula milk daily after 12 months
  • Breastfed babies whose mothers have vitamin D deficiency
  • Children with limited dietary variety or food allergies
  • Families living in areas with limited sunlight exposure

You can explore our complete range of vitamins and supplements to find additional nutritional support options for your family's health needs.

Why Choose Preservative-Free Formulation

These vitamin drops contain no artificial preservatives, colours, or flavours, making them suitable for children with sensitive digestive systems. The natural orange flavour comes from real fruit extracts, which most children find palatable when mixed with food or drinks.

The preservative-free formulation reduces the risk of adverse reactions whilst maintaining the stability and effectiveness of the vitamins. You can feel confident giving these drops to your child knowing they contain only essential nutrients without unnecessary additives.

Storage and Clinical Suitability Guidelines

Store these vitamin drops in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and keep them out of reach of children. Once opened, use within the timeframe specified on the packaging to ensure optimal potency of the vitamins.

These drops are clinically formulated to meet UK Department of Health recommendations for children's vitamin supplementation. You should give the recommended dose as directed on the packaging, typically 5 drops daily, which you can mix into your child's food, milk, or juice. For additional child health products, browse our baby and toddler collection for comprehensive care solutions.

This product is a medicine. Speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using if you have an underlying medical condition or are taking other medicines.

Recommended Dosage for Different Age Groups

You should follow the dosage instructions provided on the product packaging or as advised by your healthcare provider. The amount will vary depending on your child's age and individual nutritional requirements.

Always use the dropper provided to ensure accurate measurement. You can administer the drops directly into your child's mouth or mix them with a small amount of milk, formula, or food for easier consumption.

How to Administer the Drops Safely

You should shake the bottle gently before each use to ensure the vitamins are properly mixed. Draw up the required amount using the dropper and either place directly on your child's tongue or mix with their regular feed.

If mixing with food or drink, use only a small amount to ensure your child consumes the full dose. You can give the drops at any time of day, but maintaining a consistent routine helps ensure regular supplementation.

It’s really hard to get the drops out of the bottle, you’ve got to tap it so much but not much comes out & therefore it’s hard to get the correct dosage. Vitamins with a dropper would be easier
