Curanail Fungal Nail Treatment 5% Medicated Lacquer

Curanail 5% medicated nail lacquer contains amorolfine hydrochloride, an antifungal medicine that treats fungal infections of the nails. You apply this clear lacquer directly to infected fingernails or toenails once or twice weekly. The treatment penetrates the nail plate to reach the fungal infection beneath.

This curanail fungal nail treatment comes in a 3ml bottle with an applicator brush for precise application. Each bottle provides enough treatment for several months of regular use on affected nails. The lacquer forms a protective film over your nail that continues working between applications.

How Amorolfine Treats Nail Fungus

Amorolfine hydrochloride works by disrupting the cell membrane of fungi, preventing them from growing and reproducing. The active ingredient targets common fungal species that cause nail infections, including dermatophytes and yeasts. When you apply the lacquer, it penetrates through the nail plate to reach the infection site.

The treatment requires consistent application over several months because nails grow slowly. You need to continue treatment until the infected nail has grown out completely and been replaced by healthy nail tissue. This process typically takes 6 months for fingernails and 9-12 months for toenails.

Who Should Use This Nail Fungus Treatment

This nail fungus treatment suits adults and children over 12 years with confirmed fungal nail infections. You should see your doctor or pharmacist for diagnosis before starting treatment, as other conditions can cause similar nail changes. The treatment works best when you start using it early in the infection process.

Curanail is suitable for treating infections affecting up to two nails on each hand or foot. For more extensive infections, you may need additional treatments or oral antifungal medicines. Consider exploring our athletes foot and fungal infections collection for complementary foot care products.

  • Adults and children over 12 years
  • Confirmed fungal nail infections
  • Up to two affected nails per hand or foot
  • Early-stage infections respond better to treatment

Why Choose Medicated Nail Lacquer

Medicated nail lacquer offers several advantages over other antifungal treatments. The lacquer stays on your nail between applications, providing continuous antifungal action. You only need to apply it once or twice weekly, making it more convenient than daily treatments.

The clear formulation means you can apply nail polish over the lacquer if desired. This makes the treatment more discreet and allows you to maintain your normal nail care routine. The lacquer also helps protect the nail from further fungal contamination while treatment progresses.

Storage and Shelf Life Information

Store Curanail at room temperature below 25°C and keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use. Do not store in the bathroom or other humid areas, as moisture can affect the lacquer's consistency. The treatment remains effective for 36 months from the date of manufacture when stored correctly.

Once opened, use the lacquer within 12 months for optimal effectiveness. Always replace the cap immediately after use to prevent the lacquer from thickening. If the lacquer becomes too thick to apply smoothly, you may need to replace it with a fresh bottle.

This product is a medicine. Speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using if you have an underlying medical condition or are taking other medicines.

How to Apply Curanail Nail Lacquer

Before your first application, file down the infected nail as much as possible and clean the nail surface with the provided nail files. Remove any existing nail polish and wash your hands thoroughly. Apply the lacquer evenly over the entire nail surface, including the underside of the nail tip if accessible.

Allow the lacquer to dry completely before putting on socks or gloves. The treatment typically dries within a few minutes. Clean the applicator brush with the provided cleansing swabs after each use to prevent contamination.

Treatment Schedule and Duration

Apply Curanail once weekly for fingernails or twice weekly for toenails. Continue treatment until the infected nail has grown out completely and healthy nail has replaced it. This process takes approximately 6 months for fingernails and 9-12 months for toenails.

Remove the previous application with the cleansing swabs before applying fresh lacquer. File away any loose or infected nail material weekly before reapplication. If you miss an application, apply the lacquer as soon as you remember and continue with your regular schedule.
