What an online clinic Mounjaro price should include
A low headline price can hide extra charges. Before comparing providers, check where the pens come from, whether the consultation is free, what delivery costs, how the pen is kept cold in transit, and what support you get after it arrives.
Why Mounjaro prices change with the dose
Mounjaro comes in six strengths, from 2.5mg to 15mg, and each strength is priced separately.[1] A higher dose is not automatically the right one. In the SURMOUNT-1 trial, adults using tirzepatide alongside diet and activity lost an average of 15% of their body weight on 5mg, 19.5% on 10mg and 20.9% on 15mg over 72 weeks, compared with 3.1% with lifestyle changes alone.[2]
These are trial averages and individual results vary. Many people reach a maintenance dose below 15mg, which keeps their monthly cost lower.
Who can buy Mounjaro from an online clinic
Mounjaro is licensed for weight management in adults with a BMI of 30 or more, or 27 to 30 with at least one weight-related condition such as high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, prediabetes or sleep apnoea.[1] It is a prescription-only medicine, so a prescriber reviews your health history and current medicines before supplying it. Any website offering Mounjaro without a consultation is not acting as a regulated pharmacy.
Mounjaro on the NHS or privately
NICE recommends Mounjaro on the NHS for adults with a BMI of 35 or more plus a weight-related condition, and the rollout is being phased over several years, starting with those at highest need.[3][5] If you already qualify, talk to your GP first. Private treatment through a registered online pharmacy is faster to start, but you pay for each pen.
Why the cheapest Mounjaro pen can cost you more
