Product Description

Golden Eye Antibiotic 1% w/w Chloramphenicol Eye Ointment is a medication containing 1% w/w Chloramphenicol, an antibiotic. It is used for the treatment of bacterial eye infections.

Directions for Use

• Wash your hands before using the ointment.
• Tilt your head back and pull down the lower eyelid to create a small pocket.
• Squeeze a small amount (about 1cm) of the ointment into the pocket.
• Close your eyes gently to spread the ointment.
• Do not touch the tip of the tube to the eye.
• Use as directed by your doctor, usually 3 to 4 times a day.

Warnings

• Avoid contact with soft contact lenses. Remove contact lenses before using the ointment and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting them.
• Avoid using the ointment for longer than prescribed without medical advice.
• Avoid contaminating the tip of the tube to prevent the spread of infection.

Side Effects

Common side effects may include:

• Temporary blurred vision
• Stinging or burning sensation in the eye

Inform your doctor if you experience any persistent or severe side effects.

Storage Information

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use the ointment after the expiry date.
