How to Use Your Omron M2 Intelli Monitor

Sit quietly for 5 minutes before taking a measurement, with your feet flat on the floor and your back supported. Remove tight clothing from your upper arm and wrap the cuff around your bare arm, positioning the bottom edge 1-2cm above your elbow. The cuff should feel snug but not tight, and the tube should run down the inside of your arm.

Rest your arm on a table so the cuff is at the same level as your heart. Press the start button and remain still and quiet during the measurement. The cuff will inflate automatically and then gradually deflate as the monitor takes your reading. Your results will appear on the display within 30-40 seconds.

When and How Often to Measure

Take measurements at the same time each day for consistency, ideally in the morning before taking medications and in the evening before dinner. Avoid measuring within 30 minutes of eating, drinking caffeine, smoking, or exercising, as these activities can temporarily affect your blood pressure.
