Beconase Hayfever Nasal Spray for Seasonal Allergy Relief

You can manage your hayfever symptoms effectively with this corticosteroid nasal spray containing beclometasone dipropionate. This medicine works directly in your nasal passages to reduce inflammation and control the allergic response that causes sneezing, runny nose, and nasal congestion during pollen season.

Each bottle provides 180 measured doses, giving you consistent treatment throughout the hayfever season. The spray delivers a precise amount of medicine with each actuation, ensuring you receive the correct dose every time you use it.

How Beclometasone Dipropionate Controls Hayfever Symptoms

The active ingredient works by reducing inflammation in your nasal tissues when they come into contact with allergens like pollen, dust mites, or pet dander. It blocks the release of inflammatory substances that cause your hayfever symptoms, providing relief from nasal congestion, sneezing, and runny nose.

You need to use this medicine regularly for it to be most effective, as it works by building up protective levels in your nasal passages over time. The anti-inflammatory action helps prevent symptoms from developing rather than just treating them after they occur.

Who Can Benefit from This Hayfever Treatment

This nasal spray is suitable for adults and children over 18 years who experience seasonal allergic rhinitis. You may find it particularly helpful if you suffer from persistent hayfever symptoms that interfere with your daily activities or sleep quality. Many people find relief when exploring our comprehensive allergy and hay fever treatment options.

The beconase hayfever nasal spray is especially beneficial for people who experience:

  • Persistent nasal congestion during pollen season
  • Frequent sneezing fits triggered by allergens
  • Runny nose that doesn't respond well to antihistamines alone
  • Nasal symptoms that affect sleep or concentration

Why Choose This Preservative-Free Formula

This formulation contains no benzalkonium chloride or other preservatives that can sometimes cause nasal irritation with long-term use. The preservative-free design makes it suitable for people with sensitive nasal passages who may experience stinging or burning with other nasal sprays.

The absence of preservatives also means you can use this medicine for extended periods during hayfever season without worrying about developing sensitivity reactions that sometimes occur with preserved nasal sprays.

Storage Requirements and Shelf Life

You should store this nasal spray below 25°C and protect it from direct sunlight. Keep the bottle upright when not in use and replace the cap after each application to maintain the sterility of the contents.

Once opened, you can use the spray for up to 3 months, provided you store it correctly. Check the expiry date on the packaging and do not use the medicine beyond this date, even if there are doses remaining in the bottle.

This product is a medicine. Speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using if you have an underlying medical condition or are taking other medicines.

Proper Application Technique for Nasal Spray

You should shake the bottle gently before each use and remove the protective cap. Prime the spray by pressing the pump several times until a fine mist appears if you're using it for the first time or haven't used it for more than a week.

Blow your nose gently to clear your nasal passages before application. Insert the nozzle into one nostril, keeping the bottle upright, and press down firmly while breathing in gently through your nose. Repeat in the other nostril if directed.

Recommended Dosage Schedule

Adults typically use two sprays in each nostril once daily, preferably in the morning. You may need to use it twice daily during periods of high pollen exposure, but you should not exceed the maximum daily dose without consulting your pharmacist or doctor.

Clean the nozzle with a damp cloth after each use and replace the cap to keep it clean. If the spray becomes blocked, remove the nozzle and rinse it in warm water, then dry thoroughly before reattaching to the bottle.
